Roulette - The Basics
The Object of the Game
Roulette is a simple game, and gives players the chance to earn big
winnings. The Roulette software game is based on standard American
Double Zero roulette, according to the standard rules of the Nevada
Gaming Commission. An ivory ball circles in the rotating roulette
wheel that consists of 36 numbers plus 0 and 00. Eventually, the ball
stops randomly on one of the 38 random numbers. The player's job is to
predict the outcome of each spin by placing bets in the fields of the
roulette table.
Each player wagers against the bank, independently from other game
participants. Your player winnings will be based on how well you have
predicted the ball's final resting-place by placing your chips
accordingly.
How to Play
Use your cursor and left mouse button to select the chip that you wish
to wager. Next, place the chip on the roulette table by clicking on
the desired table field. You can regret a wagered chip before the game
begins by clicking on the wagered chip with your right mouse button.
When you have placed your bets, click on the wheel or press the SPIN
button to activate the roulette wheel.
If you would like to bet on the same number(s) during the next spin,
press the space bar. Then click on the wheel or press ENTER on your
keyboard to start the next spin.
Betting
There are 9 different ways to place roulette bets. Each bet covers a
different set of numbers and has a different distribution, as shown in
the "Winnings Table" section.
Straight Up
A chip can be wagered on any individual number, including zero (0) and
double-zero (00). The chip is placed directly on the individual
number.
Split Bet
A chip can be wagered on two adjacent numbers, by placing the chip on
the line dividing the two numbers. A chip can also be placed on the
line dividing zero (0) and double-zero (00).
Street Bet
Street bets cover three numbers. Place the chip on the outer right
boundary line of the roulette table, next to the corresponding row of
three numbers.
Corner Bet
Corner bets cover four numbers. Place the chip in the cross where the
four numbers intersect.
Five Bet
This bet covers the following numbers: 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. Place the
chip on the outer right boundary line of the roulette table, between
00 and 3.
Line Bet
A line bet covers two street bets (i.e. the six different numbers in
two rows of three numbers. For example: 4,5,6 + 7,8,9). Place the chip
on outer right boundary line of the roulette table, where it is
intersected by the line dividing the two rows.
Column Bet
On the short side of the roulette table are three boxes marked "2 to
1." By placing your chip in one of these boxes, you mark all twelve
numbers above it (0 and 00 excluded).
Dozen Bet
You can bet on a group of twelve numbers by placing your chip in one
of the three boxes marked "1st 12," "2nd 12," or "3rd 12."
Red/Black, Even/Odd, Low/High Bets
A bet placed in one of the boxes on the left, long side of the table
covers half of the roulette table numbers (excluding zero and double
zero). Each box covers 18 numbers.
Betting Limits
The minimum betting limit within the numbered fields on the roulette
table is a total of $5. (You can use $1 chips and make bets on several
different numbers, as long as the total bet is at least $5). There is
also a $5 limit on wagers placed within the outer non-number fields of
the roulette table (e.g. Dozen, Red, Odd, etc.). The total bet for any
one spin may not exceed $500.
